Are you trying to find out how to cast out demons and evil spirits? Whether you are trying to remove demons, demonic spirits, or ghosts from your home or a person, the Bible can help.
The devil is very powerful, but he is not more powerful than God.
It amazes me how people can believe in demonic spirits, but not believe in the power of God to get rid of them.
Instead, they try to fight darkness with darkness. You can’t use witchcraft spells to get rid of evil.
John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Matthew 12:26-28 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Can Christians have demons? No!
Demonic and evil spirits cannot enter Christians because we are protected by the Holy Spirit. There are some people who claim to be believers, but never truly accepted Christ. They willfully and deliberately sin on purpose. These people have no repentance in their life and are not protected by the Holy Spirit. They are not saved and demonic spirits can enter them.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1 John 3:8-10 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
The power of Christ can break any chain. The gospel must be preached to unbelievers with demons. Click the are you saved link at the top of the page for a better understanding of the gospel. After you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it’s now time to put on your battle suits. In your armor of God know that demons fear God and have faith because you’re protected by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 8:28-32 When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.
Ephesians 6:11 Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Ephesians 6:16-17 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Stand strong and rebuke in Christ. Evil is not welcomed here.
Through Jesus our prayers to God are heard. If there are evil spirits inside a friend or home you must rebuke it in the name of Christ. Renounce all the evil, dark, and satanic spirits in the name of Jesus Christ and trust in God that he will cast out the demons.
Jude 1:9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Remember the person must be saved by putting their faith in Christ alone for salvation. If a person is not saved the demons will come back.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.
Matthew 12:43-45 “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, seeking rest but finding none. Then it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds its former home empty, swept, and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before. That will be the experience of this evil generation.”
Continuously pray to God to break the legal rights of the demons and have faith that He will answer your prayers to remove any demons and evil spirits in a house or person. Have faith in God that he hears you and remember Christians live by faith.
Mark 11:22-24 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Luke 1:37 For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
The importance of faith and trust in the Lord.
Matthew 17:19-20 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
Not only must we remember the importance of faith in the power of God to remove demons, but we must remember the power of fasting and prayer . Sometimes we must fast to strengthen our prayers.
Matthew 17:21 “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
Ezra 8:23 So we fasted and pleaded with our God about this, and He granted our request.
- “The world of demons, fallen Angels, is very real – a fact we need to know. We have to face up to this terrible reality, so that we do not fall unsuspectingly into their hands and come under their tyranny.” Basilea Schlink
- “Negligence in prayer withers the inner man. Nothing can be a substitute for it, not even Christian work. Many are so preoccupied with work that they allow little time for prayer. Hence they cannot cast out demons. Prayer enables us first inwardly to overcome the enemy and then outwardly to deal with him.” Watchman Nee
