Bible Verses About Regrets

What does the Bible say about regrets?

Never allow Satan to hurt you with regret. Sometimes he tries to make us dwell on our past sins before Christ. Worrying about old sins does nothing for you. Through repentance and putting your trust in Christ for salvation, you’re a new creation. God blots out your sins and remembers them no more. Keep your mind on Christ and continue your walk of faith. If you stumble, repent, and keep on moving. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Christian quotes about regret

“I have never known anyone to accept Christ’s redemption and later regret it.” Billy Graham

“When we clear away our regrets, joy replaces resentment and peace replaces conflict.” Charles Swindoll

“God does not regret saving you. There is no sin which you commit which is beyond the cross of Christ.” Matt Chandler

“God’s grace is bigger than your biggest regret.” Lecrae

“Most Christians are being crucified on a cross between two thieves: Yesterday’s regret and tomorrow’s worries.” — Warren W. Wiersbe

“Our yesterdays present irreparable things to us; it is true that we have lost opportunities which will never return, but God can transform this destructive anxiety into a constructive thoughtfulness for the future. Let the past sleep, but let it sleep on the bosom of Christ. Leave the Irreparable Past in His hands, and step out into the Irresistible Future with Him.” Oswald Chambers

“Why believe the devil instead of believing God? Rise up and realize the truth about yourself – that all the past has gone, and you are one with Christ, and all your sins have been blotted out once and for ever. O let us remember that it is sin to doubt God’s Word. It is sin to allow the past, which God has dealt with, to rob us of our joy and our usefulness in the present and in the future.” Martyn Lloyd-Jones
