What does the Bible say about teamwork?
Teamwork is all around us in life. We see it in marriages, businesses, neighborhoods, churches, etc. God loves to see Christians working together submitting to His will. Think of Christianity as your local Walmart. There is one store, but there are many different departments within that store. One department can do things another cannot, but they still have the same goal.
In Christianity there is one body, but there are many different functions. God has blessed us all differently. Some people are preachers, givers, singers, advice givers, prayer warriors, etc.
Some people are bolder, wiser, more confident, and have stronger faith than others. We all have different abilities, but our main goal is God and the advancement of His Kingdom. We fill in for our brothers where they need assistance.
I’ve heard of a time in street preaching when the person with less eloquence and wisdom had to evangelize instead of the wiser and more eloquent person. The reason for this is because the other person was too eloquent and too wise and no one could comprehend what he was saying.
Never think that there is nothing you can do within the body of Christ. It’s amazing to see how God is using the body of Christ. Some people are missionaries, some are street preachers, some people are Christian bloggers, and some are advancing God’s Kingdom on YouTube and Instagram.
We are in 2021. There are a million ways you can benefit the body. We must use the gifts God gave us to benefit each other and we must always remember to love. Love drives unity.
Christian quotes about teamwork
“Teamwork makes the dream work.”
“Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success.”
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
“Because I had been a basketball player, it never dawned on me to evaluate people on the basis of color. If you could play, you could play. In America it would appear that there is more openness, acceptance, and teamwork in the gym than in the church of Jesus Christ.” Jim Cymbala
“Christians everywhere have undiscovered and unused spiritual gifts. The leader must help bring those gifts into the service of the kingdom, to develop them, to marshal their power. Spirituality alone does not make a leader; natural gifts and those given by God must be there too.” – J. Oswald Sanders
“God cares nothing about our manmade divisions and groups and is not interested in our self-righteous, hair-splitting, and religious, man-made formulas and organizations. He wants you to recognize the unity of the body of Christ.” M.R. DeHaan
“The unity of Christendom is not a luxury, but a necessity. The World will go limping until Christ’s prayer that all may be one is answered. We must have unity, not at all costs, but at all risks. A unified Church is the only offering we dare present to the coming Christ, for in it alone will He find room to dwell.” Charles H. Brent

12. Exodus 4:10-15 But Moses replied to the Lord, “Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent—either in the past or recently or since You have been speaking to Your servant because I am slow and hesitant in speech.” Yahweh said to him, “Who made the human mouth? Who makes him mute or deaf, seeing or blind? Is it not I, Yahweh? Now go! I will help you speak and I will teach you what to say.” Moses said, “Please, Lord, send someone else.” Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses, and He said, “Isn’t Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, he is on his way now to meet you. He will rejoice when he sees you. You will speak with him and tell him what to say. I will help both you and him to speak and will teach you both what to do.

And it makes the people tired too. Now, listen to me. Let me give you some advice. And I pray God will be with you. You should continue listening to the problems of the people. And you should continue to speak to God about these things. You should explain God’s laws and teachings to the people. Warn them not to break the laws. Tell them the right way to live and what they should do. But you should also choose some of the people to be judges and leaders. Choose good men you can trust—men who respect God. Choose men who will not change their decisions for money. Make these men rulers over the people. There should be rulers over 1000 people, 100 people, 50 people, and even over ten people.”

Our God will fight for us!” 21 So we continued the work with half the men holding spears, from the first light of dawn till the stars came out. 22 At that time I also said to the people, “Have every man and his helper stay inside Jerusalem at night, so they can serve us as guards by night and as workers by day.” 23 Neither I nor my brothers nor my men nor the guards with me took off our clothes; each had his weapon, even when he went for water.”
