Bible Verses About Feeling Down

What does the Bible say about feeling down?

“We’ve all had moments when life feels like it’s unraveling, when getting out of bed seems as daunting as climbing up a mountain. On those days, it’s tempting to curl up and cry or turn to comfort food to ease the weight of depression. I’ve done this before. It’s easy to get lost in your struggles, but I’d encourage you not to dwell there. Instead, shift your focus from the hardship to the Lord. Turn to Psalm 46. I love this chapter from the Sons of Korah. This chapter reminds us to pause, to be still, and to breathe. It calls us to center our hearts on God and trust that He remains in control of our situation.

Has God ever let you down? Let me answer that for you: No. You may have faced painful trials, but you’ve always made it through. He has never abandoned you—He’s been right there with you every step of the way. Jesus invites us, especially in our darkest moments, to Come to Him. Take a moment to bring your burdens to Him in prayer. Your Savior loves you deeply. Even when you feel like you’re sinking, Christ is holding you up. My prayer for you is that these Scriptures will lift your spirit and bring you encouragement and peace.
