What does the Bible say about confessing your sins?
“There is beauty that happens when we confess our sins. He already knows. Don’t be afraid to bring things to Him. Confess it and allow God to work in you and help. When you don’t confess, you start to think that you’re getting away with it, and then you run into a plethora of issues. Make a habit of confessing daily. Why not right now wherever you are at?
Also, get specific. Don’t just say, ‘Lord, forgive me for sinning.’ Name the sin by name. Confession helps to break bondage. I also encourage you to find trusted believers you can be accountable to, if you don’t already have this. Saying “I’m sorry” to God isn’t always easy, especially when we’ve tripped over the same thing a dozen times, but doing so allows you to receive grace, aid, and forgiveness.
We don’t confess our sins to continue to be saved. We confess our sins because we have already been saved and don’t want sin to hinder our relationship with Jesus. Can’t you see and feel the beauty in that? Go and confess now!
