Struggling With Sin

Bible verses about struggling with sin

Many believers ask, if I struggle with sin am I saved? You’re no Christian. You just sinned that same sin. You don’t care about God. You’re a hypocrite if you ask for forgiveness. These are the lies that we hear from Satan. I struggle with sin. Even during worship sometimes I can find myself falling so short of God’s glory. If we are honest with ourselves we all struggle with sin. We are all weak. We struggle with sinful thoughts, desires, and habits. I want to touch up on something.

25 Helpful Bible Verses About Struggling With Sin

There are some self-righteous false teachers like Kerrigan Skelly who say that a Christian never struggles with sin. There are also some people who say that they struggle as an excuse to live in sin.

People like this dive head first into sin and don’t desire to stop their sins. They use God’s grace as an excuse to deliberately rebel. For believers we often have remorse over our struggles.

A Christian desires to stop, but even though if we hate our sin and try our hardest we often fall short because of our unredeemed flesh. If you are a Christian who struggles, don’t worry you are not alone. The answer to victory over all sin is by trusting in Jesus Christ.

There is hope for us in Christ. There will be times where God will convict us of sin, but we are to always allow our joy to come from Christ and not our performance. When your joy comes from your performance that will lead to always feeling condemned. Don’t give up on your battle with sin. Keep on fighting and confessing.

Pray to the Holy Spirit daily for strength. Anything in your life that may be leading to sin, remove it. Discipline yourself. Start building your devotional life. Spend time with the Lord in prayer and in His Word. I noticed in my life if I slack in my devotional life that can lead to sin. Put your focus on the Lord and trust in Him.
