What does the Bible say about living for God?
Who are you living for? Are you living for Jesus, or are you living for the world—money, others, or validation? What drives you? Have you forgotten the great price that was paid for you? Jesus died for your sins. He gave up everything for us. Isn’t He worthy of your entire life? Why breathe if Jesus doesn’t get the glory? Why take a step if taking a step doesn’t honor Christ? Living for God means believing by faith that Jesus died for you. It’s trusting in Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and believing He has taken away all your sins.
When you live for God, you know that works can’t save you—but you live for Him because He has already saved you. Christians desire to lead lives that please our Savior. We want to pray because it’s how we communicate with Him. We want to read the Bible to encounter Him in His Word. We want Him and nothing else. If you haven’t been living for Jesus, it’s time to start today!
