Bible Verses About Dependence On God

What does the Bible say about dependance on God?

One of the saddest realities in life is when we depend on so many things without even realizing how far we are from relying on God. We depend on our savings accounts, on others, and on our jobs, often deriving our sense of value from them. Meanwhile, God becomes an afterthought or just an addition to our lives. Sometimes, God allows challenging circumstances to enter our lives so we can learn to rest in Him.

Hardships can push us to pray and depend on the Lord. If God uses these moments to deepen your reliance on Him, praise the Lord for it! Yet, we shouldn’t need such trials to turn to Him. Let’s begin building our dependence on the Lord today by resting in the perfect work of Christ, recognizing that our salvation comes from Him alone. Let’s also seek Him continually in prayer. As you pray, trust Him and ask for His guidance. As you pray, remain rooted in His Word, allowing His Word to transform your life.”
